Book Groups/ Forums
Every year, St. Francis welcomes speakers on a range of topics, including spirituality, health and wellness, community outreach and ministries, and current events. These forums usually follow the 10 a.m. service. In addition, St. Francis works with the Stamford Inter-Faith Council to publicize speakers and programs hosted by that organization. All are welcome. There is no charge for participation. Please check the calendar for the latest information on upcoming events.

The St. Francis book group meets three or four times a year following the 10 am service to share conversation and thoughts around works of fiction and non-fiction. There is often a spiritual focus to the readings. For the 2011-2012 season, the book group will discuss the following:

September 25, 2011:
- The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder and
By The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho;
- November 13, 2011: The Art of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein;
- February 5, 2012: Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott;
- April 29, 2012: The Spiral Staircase by Karen Armstrong.

All are welcome. There is no charge for participation.
