Community Bridgebuilders

Community Bridgebuilders is a coalition of churches in Fairfield County who work with Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County to construct housing for families in need. Coalition members provide funding and volunteers, and Habitat provides planning and construction supervision. The 20 member churches, have raised a total of $200,xxx for the Habitat for Humanity condominiums that are being built on West Main St. in Stamford.

Neighbors Link Stamford

Neighbors Link Stamford opened in 2011 as a Community Center for recent immigrants. The mission of Neighbors Link Stamford is to strengthen the whole community by actively enhancing the healthy integration of recent immigrants. St. Francis Parish has been involved since inception in the development of this organization with financial assistance and with volunteer time.

Pacific House

Several times a year, a group of St. Francis parishioners and friends prepares and serves a meal at Pacific House, Stamford’s men’s shelter. Check the parish calendar for the next scheduled event.

Dove Program

A longstanding social-service program that is coordinated by Person-to-Person in Darien, St. Francis is one of 19 area churches and schools that prepare food boxes for needy families at Christmastime. In 2010, St. Francis parishioners provided more than 20 needy Stamford families with Christmas meals, and also made generous cash gifts to Person-to-Person’s scholarship fund through the Green Dove program.
