The morning will begin in the Meeting Room, and the rhythm of the morning will be three brief reflections followed by time for individuals to reflect, pray, walk or rest as they are moved. Thomas Keating's book "Intimacy With God" is a fabulous introduction to this spiritual practice.

Join us during the Lenten season to explore more fully the intersection of faith and life and the implications of God’s love for you. Henri Nouwen’s Life of the Beloved is a classic. He describes to a good friend who is not a Christian the fundamentals of the tradition. In doing so, he offers for us a wonderful expression of our tradition and a lens through which we might better read ourselves and the world. We will discuss Nouwen’s text after the 10 AM service during Lent.

This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the Person to Person Dove Program. Christmas Doves would never have been possible without the enthusiastic support of area churches. Basically, Dove boxes provide holiday food to families in need. But they also give individuals and families the opportunity to share their blessings with their neighbors at Christmas.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help your children understand the joy of giving during the Christmas season. How can you help your children understand the joy of giving during the
Christmas season? You can do so by participating as a family in the annual Dove program. Participation is open to anyone and involves either preparing a wrapped carton of food or can be as simple as making a direct donation to families/adults through Person to Person.Each year, St. Francis joins with other churches, to participate in Person-to-Person’s Christmas Dove
Program. Through this program, participants respond to the needs of families and seniors in our community who might otherwise go without this Holiday Season. Parishioners wishing to participate
need only select a White or Green Dove on Sunday, (date), follow directions printed on it and bring joy into another home this Season.
White Dove: Fill a box with food and love for Christmas Day. All necessary food items and directions are on the reverse side of the Dove. A $15.00 contribution is required so Person-to-Person can
purchase a Shop Rite gift card for each family to buy their own choice of meat or produce. Fill in the back dove with your name, address & telephone number and return it (along with the $15.00) to Diane Ricketts.

The quintessential New England worship space is a wonderful location for a brief service with Eucharist to reflect upon all that for which we are thankful. Participation is open to anyone and involves either preparing a wrapped carton of food or can be as simple as making a direct donation to families/adults through Person to Person.Each year, St. Francis joins with other churches, to participate in Person-to-Person’s Christmas Dove
Program. Through this program, participants respond to the needs of families and seniors in our community who might otherwise go without this Holiday Season. Parishioners wishing to participate
need only select a White or Green Dove on Sunday, (date), follow directions printed on it and bring joy into another home this Season.
White Dove: Fill a box with food and love for Christmas Day. All necessary food items and directions are on the reverse side of the Dove. A $15.00 contribution is required so Person-to-Person can
purchase a Shop Rite gift card for each family to buy their own choice of meat or produce. Fill in the back dove with your name, address & telephone number and return it (along with the $15.00) to Diane Ricketts.

Our fall Midnight Run will take place next Friday, November 18. We will gather with St. John's Lutheran at 7:00 PM at the Church to put together the "Run". Those interested in making the trip into New York City please let me know so we can coordinate rides. Those running into the city will leave at 9:00 PM. We still need hats, gloves, blankets, jackets, pants, socks, tee shirts, underwear and toiletries. Also, we need help with the following food items: 50 juice boxes, 100 hot beverage cups, Mustard for Sandwiches, 50 bags of crackers/chips, Lettuce (3 heads of iceberg lettuce), 50 packages of cookies/brownies/bars, Cheese for 20 sandwiches, Peanut Butter & Jelly for 25 Sandwiches, Roast Beef for 20 Sandwiches, Turkey for 25 sandwiches, Whole grain, oat bran, whole wheat bread, Please let Pastor Mark Lingle know what you can bring - marllingle.pastor@gmail.com
