Blessing of the Animals on Oct 4

A little rain couldn't dampen the spirits of the many pets and their people who gathered at the New Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, on Sunday, October 4, for a special Blessing of the Animals in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis!

Pets of all faiths, shapes, and sizes were welcome: from furry and feathered friends to beloved stuffed animals! The Rev. Joe Rose led a brief service filled with prayers of blessing and thanksgiving for the special place animals hold in our lives.
