St. Francis held a communitywide Independence Day prayer service in the morning of July in the Historic Church. Faith communities around the city were invited and joined in a sacred hour of prayer, reflecting on our shared civic values. We celebrated our hopes for the nation, especially for people of faith who celebrate the spiritual tapestry of the American family. INTEMPO provided music for the gathering. Various people in the congregation delivered the readings and recited the Declaration of Independence. It was moving and provided hope for our future!
